Solplex Update: New Features, Improvements, and Fixes

Greetings, Solplex community! We’ve been hard at work refining the game, adding new functionalities, and improving performance across the board. In this update, we’re excited to highlight the most recent changes and enhancements to your Solplex experience. Let’s dive in!


Audio & Visual Enhancements

  • Factory Sound Effects
    We’ve given our outer colony factories brand-new sound effects, adding more depth and immersion to your industrial landscapes.
  • Colony Sprites
    World map visuals now feature updated colony sprites.
  • New Inner Colony Building Art
    Get ready for a visual treat—several inner colony buildings have received updated art, making each structure stand out more clearly.
  • Fullscreen Toggle
    Want to experience Solplex on the big screen? A new toggle in the graphics settings allows players to switch between fullscreen and windowed mode with ease.
  • Dynamic Camera Movement
    Navigate your colonies with new WSAD key controls. You can now configure camera movement speed and other settings to your preference in the game settings menu.

User Interface & Quality of Life

  • Ancient Colony Defense Display
    We’ve introduced a display feature for ancient colony defense and garrison details, making it easier to manage and monitor these colonies.
  • Building Search for Attacks
    Ever had trouble finding your target building? A new search functionality in the target selection window helps you pinpoint specific buildings when planning attacks.
  • Keeping Menus Open
    When switching between active colonies, key menus stay open by default, reducing needless clicks and helping you multitask effectively.
  • Enhanced Trade Report Panel
    We’ve darkened coordinate bars, improved the alignment and size of the Quantity text, and improved status color coding. Trades are now clearer and easier to track.
  • Hotkey System Expansion
    We heard your feedback: more hotkeys are here! We’ve expanded the hotkey system so you can access vital actions quickly and smoothly. Additionally, tooltips now display the assigned hotkeys, and we’ve improved localization for the resource panel tooltips.
  • Resource Bar Color Adjustments
    The resource bar now turns red at 80% capacity (instead of 70%), giving you a more accurate warning before hitting your resource limits.
  • Improved Colony Interaction Panel
    We’ve fixed issues with hidden input fields and polished the edit mode toggle logic to streamline interactions within your colonies.
  • Leaderboard Panel in Unity
    The UI layout for the Leaderboard fragment is now fully implemented, so you can easily track your ranking and challenge friends and foes alike.

Gameplay & Mechanics

  • O Units on Raids
    We’ve added the ability to send O Units on raids. Keep in mind, these units are non-attackers—they do not deal damage but can still participate strategically!
  • Food Consumption for Reinforcements
    Reinforcing armies in your colonies now display a food consumption tooltip, helping you plan resources and ensure they don’t starve mid-battle.
  • Ancient Colonies Army Display
    Ancient colonies now display their armies, giving you full visibility of potential threats or reinforcements when scouting or planning your next move.
  • Troop Dispatch Panel Fixes
    We addressed an issue where the unit counter wasn’t resetting after sending units, and a separate bug where it wouldn’t update properly. Now, your troop counts are always accurate.
  • Raid Report Improvements
    • Fixed text from “resources stole” to “resources stolen.”
    • Corrected rounding for dead units, ensuring you get an accurate depiction of losses for both attackers and defenders.
    • Now displays 0% units died instead of ??? units died if an entire army perishes.
  • Trade & Reinforcement Stability
    Sending resources to colonies with Cyrillic characters in their names will now work correctly. Additionally, we’ve fixed issues where interacting with the map or reports could unintentionally cancel reinforcements.

Performance & Bug Fixes

  • Client Performance Optimization
    Multiple under-the-hood improvements mean faster load times, smoother gameplay, and overall better performance for all players.
  • Sorting & Reporting Tweaks
    • Fixed incorrect sorting of player colonies by name in the global map panel.
    • Reordered the display of deceased units and total units in reports for clarity.
  • Trading Window Visual Bug
    An annoying visual glitch when switching tabs in the trading window has been smoothed out, making trade management more seamless.
  • Colony Coordinates Correction
    We resolved a problem where incorrect colony coordinates sometimes displayed during raid defense, ensuring you always know where you’re sending your troops.
  • Resource Sending Issue
    A bug preventing resources from being dispatched when traders returned (and the order was fully filled) has been fixed, so your supply lines remain uninterrupted.
